    1955 ORIGINAL BOXED SET #6181 "DARLING DOLLS WITH WAVY HAIR AND CLOTH DRESSES" 3 PAPER DOLLS
    This is JUST ONE OF MANY BOXED SETS OF PAPER DOLLS FOUND IN MY late sister's collections.
    This is SAALFIELD'S "DARLING DOLLS" BOXED set that dates to 1955.  The 3 girls in this set are CAROL, ANNE, AND JUDY DARLING.  The Darling girls all have wavy hair but in shades of Blonde, Brunette, and Red Head.  The dolls' are each 10 1/4 inches tall.  Each doll is supposed to have 2 stands but in the box there are only 4 stands between the 3 dolls.  There is also a Clothes Tree include that does have one arm of the tree broken but is still in the box so it could be repaired.  Originally the set would have come with small Plastic Hangers to use with the Clothes Tree, but none of the hangers have been found in the box.  Also the set was supposed to have a Snap-On Purse for each of the dolls but none of them remain either.  There is though 13 Cloth Dresses for the dolls with 4 dresses have some damage with either extra holes or pieces cut from them.  Each of the dolls do have slight creases on them with the Blonde have 2 creases on one are and creases at her ankles.   The original box for this set too has not faired well over the years as much of the colored paper is missing on the lid and the cellophane 'windows' of the lid no longer have any covering.  This set is #6181.
