Offered in this sale is an old circa 1864, 19th century, English Indenture document which I know nothing about. This comes from a local estate home of a couple who lived in the UK years but emigrated to the States years ago. They had a number of these documents framed and hanging in the halls of their 6,000 square foot home, however, I found a group of five that were not framed so I will be listing these for sale individually as is over the coming days. I seldom handle old documents like this so all I can tell you is that this one measures roughly 27 1/2" x 21 1/4" when opened. It has likely been folded like this for 150+ years. I carefully unfolded it to shoot the images and then refolded it. It has the seal of Henry James Slack in the base border area. It also has additional multiple stamps, marks and signatures on it which all can be seen in the images. Having not handled before I do not know how to grade condition, however, it does not have any rips, tears or paper loss. The vellum that it is written on has held up. It is aged and toned as one would suspect of a piece of this vintage but generally speaking I would say its really in good shape.
