Description

Remember when we were sat down as children and handed scissors and a magazine to create our own paper dolls?  It was no different for the children in the late 1800s and early 1900s and these come from their efforts back then.  They are precisely cut and some have writing on the backs of them.  That was how I discovered that the woman with the mirror in the last photo was Evelyn Gosnell, a silent film star!!!  I didn't pay any attention to the writing on the backs of any of the others so no telling who might be discovered in this lot. This one has some wonderful fashions and even a wedding gown from right before, during and after WWI.  I'm not sure if this is what is considered "scraps" or not.  There is print on the backs of all of them which is interesting to look at.  The colors of some of them didn't come through clearly in my photos.
My huge paper doll collection has come from estates, other collectors and eBay.  I don't know previous storage history and they could have been in homes where smoking has occurred.  I have a poor sense of smell at my age and I don't know if that lingers.  My collection is stored in a smoke/pet free area of my home, with a dehumidifier running 24/7.
I only ship to the USA.
