  • Condition: Color and clarity are normal for this pattern. No Chips or cracks and two-part mold. There are some fine scratches to the surface of the cake stand from use. There is a flea bite in the extra glass on mold line on stem. Also, a shallow flake on inside of base at mold line, very minor mold roughness. The top was fixed to the base with a glass wafer.

    Description

    Bleeding Heart Cake stand high standard 9 ½” diameter OMN King’s Floral Ware, U.S. Glass No. 85-New Floral. Non – flint. Kin, Son & Co. Pittsburgh, PA circa 1875. The United States Glass Co., Pittsburgh PA. at Factory “C”. Attributed to the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, MA. The glass is clear and any colors you see in the photographs are reflections from outdoors where I photographed the piece.
    The cake stand has the mold marks and straw marks and bubbles common in this era of glassware. Color and clarity are normal for this pattern.
