For your consideration is this nostalgic old time looking BOSTON KS COMMEMORATIVE EDITION 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY (1899 - 1999) hand crank pencil sharpener.  The Boston stapler company was founded in 1899 and in 1999 they celebrated their century in business by producing a special commemorative edition model KS 100th anniversary pencil sharpener.
The pencil sharpener has been gently used and remains in very good condition for being 22 years old.  There are a few very minor surface blemishes and light oxidation from use and handling over the past two decades but none of which detract from the overall pleasing and nostalgic appearance of the sharpener.  The sheet steel shavings container retains its silvery colored bright finish.  The sharpener's base is made out of aluminum and is painted satin black.  Please refer to the description photos to confirm the condition of the pencil sharpener and for more details about what I have described.
The sharpener measures approximately 4.50" across (from the front to the tip of wood crank handle) and approximately 4.0" tall.  The sharpener has filigree style ornamental printing on both the crank handle and the front of the sharpener where the different size diameter pencils are placed.  The front side of the sharpener is designed to accept a total of (8) eight different size diameter pencils.  The crank handle is steel and has a stained wood knob that spins freely as designed when the handle is being cranked.
Overall, this is a great looking and fully functional special commemorative edition pencil sharpener that will be sure to evoke many fond memories of days gone by.  Being this sharpener is a commemorative edition that was made for only one year to celebrate the Boston Stapler Company 100 year anniversary it is bound to be a collectors piece as they were only a limit number manufactured.  These old pencil sharpeners are very useful and work wonderfully thus their wide spread appeal and desirability.
