    Description

    Cottage High Standard jelly compote in green. Manufactured by Adams ‘ Bellaire no. 456 AKA Dinner Bell , Fine Cut Band. Circa 1874 The United States Glass Company, Pittsburgh, PA, at Factory “A” after 1891. Bellaire Goblet Co, circa 1891 (goblet only) The glass is a lovely shade of green and any colors you see in the photographs are reflections from indoors where I photographed the piece.
    The compote has the mold marks and straw marks and bubbles and waviness common in this era of glassware. There are several manufacturing marks in the clear portion. No chips or cracks that I can see or feel. It almost has a flange,I am not sure it had a lid or not.
