    Description

Fine Pair Sterling Silver American Arts & Crafts Gyllenberg Candlesticks
Presented is a wonderful pair of American Arts & Crafts sterling silver
candlesticks. These candlesticks were made by Frederick J. R. Gyllenberg &
Alfred H. Swanson, who were in partnership circa 1926-1932. The candlesticks are
made in a very simple and appealing design, very much in the Arts & Crafts
movement style. The silver has a faint hand hammered finish, as these are fine
handwrought pieces. The candlesticks are weighted for stability, but the silver
is quite thick and heavy. The bobeches/wax drips can be removed for ease of
    cleaning.
This pair of candlesticks is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no
dents, no cracks, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The candlesticks are stamped with the maker's mark for Frederick J. R.
Gyllenberg & Alfred H. Swanson, as well as sterling and a product number
    276. The bobeches/wax drips are also stamped with these marks.
Each candlestick stands about 9 3/4 inches tall and measures about 4 3/4
    inches at the base.
The total weight for the pair is 1460 grams or 51.5 regular ounces. Due to
the interior weighting of the shafts, not all of this weight is sterling silver.
