A heavy-duty foam detergent coil cleaner in the convenience of an aerosol can. For use on most coils such as window air conditioners, central HVAC units, auto radiators, condenser and evaporator coils, metal filters, fan blades, and more. Water-based. This product can be sprayed in any position while the blasting stream easily reaches into tight areas. The aggressive detergent quickly and easily liquefies dirt, grease, oil, or other residue and deposits. Fortified with corrosion inhibitors to prevent metal degradation, it will not harm drain pans, plastic, or other materials in and around the area. The clinging foam is completely self-rinsing on condensate-producing coils. Simply spray on and condensation generated will wash away the material. The pleasant citrus fragrance helps leave the area to smell cleaned and deodorized. Contains no CFCs, chlorinated or fluorinated solvents. Cleaning coils increases efficiency and saves money. Directions: Turn off or disconnect power to the unit being serviced. Shake well. Remove cap and point toward the surface to be cleaned. Avoid spraying on electrical wires or connections. Thoroughly saturate the targeted area with the product. With this self-rinsing formula, the foam will break and condensation accumulation will completely rinse the emulsified material. A scrubbing cap is great for removing large, embedded pieces of debris. You may wipe clean or rinse with water if desired or if using on non-condensation producing coils. For extremely stubborn or heavy deposits, repeat application may be necessary. Turn on or return power to the unit.

Na. You spray and it cleans and disinfects. The dirt will fall off and goes with the condensed water as it runs, assuming it runs every day. I would not spray and leave it off for a season. I spray at the beginning of the season.

Received two spray cans for twelve bucks. The cans have flexible soft plastic tines on the caps to run up and down between the evaporator fins, causing no damage. I sprayed the evaporator a few times and the condenser a couple of times, emptying the can. Figure on using one can per window unit. The evaporator gets much dirtier than the condenser. The foam puffs up and falls to the floor so have some old towels or rags handy. The cleaner doesn’t damage your floor’s surface or cause irritation to exposed skin but obviously keep it away from your face and eyes, always wear safety glasses. I removed my window air conditioner’s cover to clean out the inside as I’ve used it over two full summers time and the cover needed a lot of elbow grease to clean but the evaporator and condenser were a breeze. Many people unfortunately end up throwing out their window units when all that is needed is a good cleaning. Built up dirt and grime on both coils acts as an insulator and the coils cannot correctly remove both the latent and sensible heat from your household. A good quality window unit can last for years as long as it’s cleaned out every couple of years. Thank you Frost King products.

Cleaning cooling condensers requires something that is acidic enough to dissolve the accumulated dust, fibers, etc., but not so acidic that it harms the metal fins. This is formulated accordingly. Per the instructions, you spray it directly into the fins. The stream is very strong and the foam instantly expands to get in deep. There is a LOT of product in just one can (it can easily do a whole house condenser unit, or two or three window units). I watched people using this stuff online and saying it didn't work, but that was because they didn't read the instructions. You need to let it set for at least 30 minutes. Then you have the choice of rinsing the fins with water, or just starting up the unit and allowing the water that condenses onto the unit as it cools to drain away the cleaner. I strongly recommend rinsing the cleaner out with water (I used a garden pump sprayer with clean water) because although the product is lemon scented, it doesn't quite smell "good." Also, the additional cleaning action of the rinsing stream doesn't hurt. I saw a flood of brown water come out as I cleaned it. NOTE: If you are cleaning a window unit, make sure the drain hole is opened on the bottom of the unit outside the window. Mine had a rubber stopper in it. If you don't, some of the liquid will overflow the bottom lip into your home.
