Highly Illuminated Arabic Koran Manuscript on 32 Pages. Medium Size, Complete KORAN.  32 leaves (62 pages); size: 15.3 x 19.5 cm; in elegant, clear, and handsome
ghubar
(dust-like) script, in green ink; on beige paper.  In the beginning, there are two pages, which are highly illuminated and decorated in gold and colors. On the margin of these two pages a verse (koran sura 49 al-Hujurat), verses 16-17.:
قُلْ أَتُعَلِّمُونَ اللَّهَ بِدِينِكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ (16) يَمُنُّونَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ أَسْلَمُوا قُلْ لَا تَمُنُّوا عَلَيَّ إِسْلَامَكُمْ بَلِ اللَّهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ هَدَاكُمْ لِلْإِيمَانِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

Also, in four corners of thes two
pages, the following sentence is found:
لا يمسه الا
المطهلرون
(Not to be touched except by the purified).
All verses are marked by green disc. All the spaces between the lines are filled in gold.  All pages are ruled in several lines of gold and black.  All the outside margins are decorated in a vertical floral ornament.
The Koran is beautifully bound in quarter morocco. This Koran is almost completely free of smudges, a very nice and solid Koran. Korans like this one are not meant to be read because of the strain to the eyes.
Usually, they are use as amulets to protect one’s house, shop, factory, collection of jewelries, and the like.
