2 Books of UNCUT Vintage Paper Dolls, one theme:
“Dresses Worn by the ‘First Ladies’ of the White House” , No. 2164 by Mabel Mercer, 1937
and
“”White House Party Dresses”, 1961, published by Merrill Company.
Both books uncut. A little extra page and corner wear to the “First Ladies” book, owing , I imagine, to its age. (See photo #4).
Lovely books, really, that retain their vivid color and reflect the cultural conception of “first spouse” before its reinterpretation in the modern era.
Stored where there are no pets, no smoking.
