MB-20 Granite Polish
is an exclusive proprietary blend of abrasives and polishing agents that represent an industry first and a definite breakthrough to polish your granite, mercantile granite, and serpentine. When used correctly, the polishing agent may leave your granite looking as much as 20% to 30% better than their original factory finish.
The Granite Polishing Kit is an easy to use kit developed exclusively for homeowners. No expensive tools to buy. This kit includes a drill attachment that is designed to work on a regular variable speed household drill. The following directions are an average recommendation. Different stones may require different quantities of product along with various techniques.
Polishing kit is designed for minor scratches and dullness. Diamond abrasives will be needed if more extensive damage is present. We would recommend a restoration professional.
Directions for use
:
Always make sure to mask off and protect surfaces that could be splattered by the product. Wear safety glasses and gloves
.
Make sure the surface is free of any coatings, waxes, sealers, grease, and/or soil.
For best results, use a right-angle grinder/polisher (variable speed) with the
included 5 inch drill attachment and hogs hair pad.
Start by targeting a two square foot area.
1.)
Place 1 teaspoon of product and 1 tablespoon of water in the center of area to be polished.
2.)
Then position your drill and hogs hair pad directly on top of product. Slowly spread the product out, controlling the trigger, while applying pressure to dry the product out.
3.)
When the product is almost dry, begin to increase the speed and decrease the pressure - at this point, there should be no splatters.
4.)
Pull the trigger for max speed and run the product dry while moving the drill swiftly over the target area. The use of pressure will vary depending on the stone.
5.)
Check the results and repeat if needed. If any swirls or marks appear, it is because too much product was used.
6.)
Remove the marks using a white pad with a mist of water.
7.)
Adjust the amount of product you are using and continue.
