Today we are delighted to offer for sale a beautiful pair of classic sterling silver three light/arm candelabra!
These lovely candlesticks were made by International Silver Co. and date to 1957. Crafted of sterling silver in the "Rhapsody" pattern, these candelabra are made with threaded candle cups and stems/shafts that can be mixed and matched with other pieces. They feature elaborate scrollwork on the arms, as well as a raised scrollwork pattern along the bases and tops of each candle cup. The bases are marked "International Sterling Weighted Reinforced 12765". The base of each shaft and candle cup is marked "Sterling" and "Weighted Reinforced".
These classic candelabra present well and are in very good vintage condition, with minimal wear, patina and scuffing commensurate with age, use and storage. Having been gently used for decades, the bases do rock slightly (nothing a few felt dots wouldn't cure), and there may be some tiny dings, but no major damage or dents have been noted. One of the bases has some slight compression on one side, the other shaft sits a bit loosely in its base. All of these flaws are minor and don't detract from the beauty and usefulness of the set. Please review all photos carefully. These lovely pieces will add classic elegance to any table setting. Fresh to the market from a Rhode Island estate!
