    Description

    Up for auction is an attractive medieval printed Book of Hours leaf on paper, in Latin, Paris, circa 1520. This leaf was printed by one of the lesser-known Parisian BOH printers of the early 16th century - Guillaume Godard. The recto depicts a full-page miniature of Christ standing amidst fallen soldiers. The verso Latin text and interesting imagery in the margins. Despite some minor light-brown dampstaining in the top third section and right margin, this rare printed Hours leaf is in good condition. It
    measures approx. 10 x 6 1/4 inches.
