    Description

    Offered is a set of two beautiful square ( or to be precise rectangular) milk glass footed cake plates, with a delicate Dancing Sailors lace pattern on the rim. Attenbury was the first to produce milk glass, in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The sides are slightly indented. There are cracks on the side corners of both pieces that have gone through the plates. They are still, however, whole. I only noticed them when I looked at the plate carefully. There is a flow line on the bottom of the one bowl and a rough part made in the making of the piece. The bowls measure 8 1/2 x 9 1/4" inches from the edge of the pattern.
