UNCOMMON EAPG SET OF 11 CUPIDS HUNT SHERBETS MINT DITHRIDGE CO. CRYSTALLOGRAPHY

Description

This pattern by the Dithridge Glass Co. of Pittsburgh is not common, and in this case there are 11 sherbet compotes ALL in mint condition...no nicks, chips, cracks.  These were reportedly made about 1879 with a technique called crystallography, derived from the method of making the molds with patterns etched into the metal molds by use of acid rather than by hand.  Each of these measures 4" W and 2 3/4" H.  The pattern is delightful with cupids, wingless, hunting and fishing, using a dog to hunt a stag, a boat to fish, plus 2 opposing lucky horseshoes (upside down) holding within a cupid's head.  Check out my OTHER ITEMS/SELLER STORE.
