Vintage Monarch No. 213 Bench Vise
with 3-1/2" wide Jaws
The following are my observations and comments, but please reference the pictures and ask questions to make your own assessment.
This vintage Monarch No. 213 bench vise has the following issues (that I am aware of):
(i) It appears that the slide has been welded at the movable jaw area.
(ii) There is a 2-1/4" long crack on the top side of the slide at the back.
(iii) Presently, the slide can not be removed (I assume that the crack has increased the width of the slide), and the picture with the slide extended displays the maximum extension.
(iv) The collar and set screw are missing, and possibly a spindle head washer.
(v) A piece is broken (and missing) from the back of the body at the top.
Approximate overall measurements: 13-1/2" x 6-1/2" x 6" with an 8-1/4" long handle.
