Description
"Barbie and Ken Traveling Dolls", is Whitman #4797 and was published in 1962. The box has the plastic carry handle and does have some discoloration and dings dings, with a little writing on one corner. It still has the original cardboard insert and scissors. I can feel a few wavy lines on the dolls but they don't have any creases or repairs. They don't lay flat and should be put under a heavy book to fix that. Ken still has the original punch out board under his arms. Both dolls stand up without an issue with the included stands. There are many outfits and accessories, lots uncut. I can't say if this is complete or not. This is the beautiful art of Al Anderson who did most of the 1962 and 1963 Barbie paper doll sets. His art is easily recognizable by the way that he did Barbie's eyes. For the age (59 years old!!), this set in good, used condition. Please see photos for content and condition. All of the paper dolls that I offer are from estates and from other homes. I don't know the previous storage history. My collection is kept in a smoke/pet free area of my home with a dehumidifier running 24/7. I have a poor sense of smell at my age and am unable to detect odors. People smoked way back when, so that could linger and I would not be aware of it. I try and list all of the flaws with any paper dolls that I sell.
I only ship to the USA. I usually take orders to the post office on Tuesday and Friday mornings by 10AM eastern time.
