VTG PAPER DOLLS 1965 SKOOTER GO ROUND WHITMAN #4639 ORIGNAL RARE SET!!! barbie

"Skooter Fashion Go Round", is  Whitman #4639 was published in 1965.  This is one of 5 rare Barbie sets that Whitman did in a different sort of packaging from 1963 to 1965. The sets featured heavy cardboard dolls with plastic stands.  The outfits and accessories came in folded panels on high gloss paper and they were the punch out type.  The box did not have a lid and the set came in a cellophane wrap. This does not have the box.  The doll in this set does not have any creases or repairs.  The outfits were gently played with and some have creases.  The stand is not original, I replaced it. The ID sheet is not original, just something that I printed out to show which set this is.  This set is not complete and does not have any of the accessories with it.  All of these #4600 series sets are very rare and highly collectable.

All of the paper dolls that I offer are from estates and from other homes.  I don't know the previous storage history.  My collection is kept in a smoke/pet free area of my home with a dehumidifier running 24/7.  I have a poor sense of smell at my age and am unable to detect odors.  People smoked way back when, so that could linger and I would not be aware of it.  I try and list all of the flaws with any paper dolls that I sell.
