    Description

    Susan Sirkis did some wonderful historical paper doll sets, often giving details about the persons and costumes.  This beautiful watercolor painting was done in 1975 after creating "Queen Victoria's Dolls" as a paper doll set.  This measures 14" x 10" and is already mounted on cardboard for framing.  The wings of on the one costume have a raised texture feel to them. My photos don't do the colors of this justice.  There is what looks like a small paint smudge at the dolls right elbow.  Also there is a crease at the lower right corner. This is a one of a kind painting and highly collectible.
    My huge paper doll collection has been purchased from estates and on eBay.  I don't know their previous storage history.  My collection is kept in a pet/smoke free area of my home, with a dehumidifier running 24/7.  People did smoke way back when, I have a poor sense of smell at my age and I don't know if there are lingering odors.
