    Description

    "Betty True Magnolia Plantation" is the imaginative and incredible art work of Barbara Barnett and Shirley Stokes, The Jones Sisters.  This was their nod to Bonnie Blue of "Gone with the Wind".  This entire set is hand made, hand painted and is one of a kind!!!  Betty True comes with dresses, gowns and accessories from the Antebellum period.  She even has a baby doll, clothes and a carriage for it!!  This originally came to me glued on sheets as a presentation set and I patiently removed all the items. There are some spots of glue that I couldn't get off or a missing tab or two. I wasn't able to remove the baby doll dress next to the carriage without destroying it.  Because it was a presentation set, it comes with 2 dolls so the folder doesn't have to be cut for the doll which is a plus.  The colors have bled through on both dolls showing each was colored by hand. There is no wallpaper folder for this set and everything is shown in the photos.
    I've bought my huge collection from estate sales and from other collectors on eBay.  I don't know the previous storage history.  My collection is stored in a smoke/pet free area in my home, with a dehumidifier running 24/7.  People did smoke back then, I have a poor sense of smell at my age, and I don't know if that lingers.  I try to list all flaws with the paper dolls that I sell.
